Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a mainstream college in Erith to support students across vocational courses. You will work with lecturers and support staff to enable learners with additional needs to access learning and participate confidently in college life.

• Experienced supporting young people with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEND, including ASD, SEMH, epilepsy, and other additional needs.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support across a range of vocational subjects.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement with learning.
• Assist students during practical lessons and classroom activities.
• Support behaviour strategies and emotional regulation when required.
• Help students develop communication, social, and employability skills.
• Work closely with lecturers and support teams to meet individual learner needs.
• Assist with medical or personal care requirements where appropriate.
