  • Develop and enhance teaching practice within the Vocational Education Department.

Job Title: Vocational Lead Instructor

Location: Belmont Secondary School, Rawtenstall

Salary: Up to £35,000per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Are you a Vocational Lead Instructor committed to improving the lives of children and young people?

As the Vocational Lead Instructor, you will be responsible for the provision of a full learning experience and support for students. Line managing named members of the staff as appropriate. Ensuring that the Vocational offer at Belmont School is well balanced and suits the needs of our pupils.

Qualifications Required: GCSE's grade C/4 and above in English, Maths and Science. Vocational qualifications.

Job purpose

  • To assist the Head of School in developing the school as a high-quality specialist provision for pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH);
  • To uphold the ethos, aims and values of the school, its policies and codes of practice at all times
  • To help manage the structure and organisation of the school day
  • To contribute to raising standards of student attainment. To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their full potential
  • Develop and enhance the teaching practice of others, especially those within the Vocational Education Department
