Job description

Vocational Tutor/Teacher/Coach

£24,000 - £28,000 pro rata (£12,000 - £14,000 per annum for 2.5 days per week)

Based in LS11 at our brand new training centre

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inspire and Educate: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive sessions to Recruitment apprentices, creating an environment that motivates learners and drives success.
  2. Assess and Empower: Evaluate learners’ work according to awarding body standards, provide constructive feedback, and set SMART targets to encourage progress.
  3. Shape the Curriculum: Contribute to developing and updating our curriculum to ensure it remains industry-relevant and impactful.
  4. Support and Mentor: Build strong relationships with learners, offering guidance and encouragement to help them achieve their qualifications.
  5. Stay on Track: Maintain accurate records of learner progress, attendance, and assessments in line with policies.
  6. Collaborate for Success: Work with colleagues, employers, and stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery and uphold best practices.
  7. Never Stop Learning: Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching skills and stay current with industry trends.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • PTLLS or equivalent qualification
  • A passion for inspiring and supporting learners
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid IT skills for maintaining learner records

Desirable:

  • Experience as an Employability Tutor (preferred but not essential)
