Job summary

NMS Recruit Ltd t/a Russell Taylor Group is seeking a Warehouse Operative with VNA driving experience for their WA5 site. The role involves safe operation of VNA forklifts, accurate inventory handling, and supporting shipping and receiving.

You will use warehouse management systems, monitor stock levels, perform routine equipment checks, and contribute to a safe, efficient, and collaborative warehouse team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating VNA forklifts or similar narrow-aisle equipment.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems for inventory control.
• Mechanical aptitude for basic repairs on equipment.
• Strong materials handling skills with heavy lifting.
• Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and documentation.
• Solid understanding of warehouse safety standards and best practices.
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities.

Responsibilities

• Operate VNA forklift trucks safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.
• Manage materials handling tasks with precision, ensuring accurate placement and retrieval of stock in designated storage areas.
• Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements, update stock levels, and generate reports.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues to ensure operational readiness.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
• Support warehouse operations through heavy lifting of goods and materials as required, following proper manual handling techniques.
