Job summary

Journo Resources Limited, via The Lead, seeks a creative visual storyteller to transform award-winning journalism into engaging social content across platforms. hybrid role based in the North West, Preston area, with travel to regional correspondents.

You will upskill editors and correspondents for 2026+ media consumption, working from home and at Society1 Preston, plus on-location shoots. Experience with social video, graphics and audience development is ideal.

Qualifications

• Experience creating/promoting content on social media and video-based formats.
• Ability to train others in social media storytelling techniques.
• Understanding online communities and authentic engagement.
• Ability to spot opportunities to reach new audiences.
• Strong written and graphic skills with attention to engaging storytelling.
• Proactive, willing to experiment and learn from results.

Responsibilities

• Turn journalism into engaging visual content for platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
• Create social assets: swipe-through posts, graphics, illustrations, data visuals.
• Identify opportunities to present local journalism to new audiences.
• Stay up to date with emerging platforms and trends relevant to The Lead.
