Job summary

Rochdale Sixth Form College, part of Altus Education Partnership, is seeking a technician to provide technical and practical support for lessons, performances, exhibitions and enrichment activities within the Creative Arts department.

You will maintain photography studios and equipment, deliver sound, lighting and AV support for events, and work across Photography, Graphics, Music and Drama. Evening availability and DBS checks may be required.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or equivalent.
• Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject.
• Experience in one or more of lighting, sound, stage management, photography, video or creative arts technology.

Responsibilities

Job description

This technician post sits in the Creative Arts department at Rochdale Sixth Form College, part of Altus Education Partnership. The work centres on technical and practical support for lessons, performances, productions and exhibitions across Photography, Graphics, Music and Drama. It combines maintaining specialist equipment and photography studios with sound, lighting and AV support for events, and it requires availability for some evening events and examinations. An Enhanced DBS check is required and visa sponsorship is not available.
