Job summary

English Heritage at Dover Castle is seeking a Visitor Assistant focused on delivering education visits to join our team, working 5 hours per week. No history background required; we value passion for people and excellent customer service to create engaging experiences for a diverse audience.

You will deliver Discovery Visit sessions to young people and will be trained to run sessions in the Dover Castle Escape Room.

Qualifications

• Some paid or voluntary experience with young people is required.

By joining us as a Dover Castle Visitor Assistant, you will be part of an amazing team of employees and volunteers, ensuring visitors have a great time from the moment they arrive until they say goodbye. Please note, this role has a focus on delivering education sessions for young people. Because of this, we are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering education opportunities for young people to help us deliver our Discovery Visit sessions at Dover Castle. You will also be trained to run sessions in the Dover Castle Escape Room. Some paid or voluntary experience with young people is essential for this role and full training and support is provided as part of your induction. You may be required to work weekends and Bank Holidays, more information will be provided at interview. Please note; due to the responsibilities and requirements of this role, successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check, any employment offer will be contingent on this.
