Job summary

Priory Hospital Woodbourne in Birmingham invites an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join on an independent basis, building and managing a private practice offering inpatient, outpatient and Day Care services at our site. This role provides immediate patient flow, marketing and brand recognition, and strong admin support from Priory.

Applicants should have GMC registration with specialist endorsement, NHS eating disorders experience, and a solid grasp of clinical governance; a DBS check

Qualifications

• GMC registration with relevant specialist registration.
• Experience in eating disorders including at least 2 years in an NHS substantive role.
• Strong understanding of Clinical Governance and regulatory frameworks.
• DBS check (funded by Priory).

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat a diverse inpatient and outpatient population.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, nurses, and dietetics.
• Engage in quality improvement and governance activities.
• Expand private practice in line with Priory's prestigious reputation.
• Network with professional colleagues and referral sources.
• Market your practice in conjunction with Priory and medical insurers.
• Maintain professional development and meet Revalidation requirements.

Seeking a Private Consultant Psychiatrist

Candidate Profile

• GMC registration with relevant specialist registration.
• Experience in eating disorders including at least 2 years operating within in a substantive role with the NHS.
• A strong understanding of Clinical Governance and regulatory frameworks.
• Successful completion of a DBS check (funded by Priory).
