Job summary

Priory North London Hospital is seeking an experienced Private Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Medical and Psychiatry team as a visiting, self-employed consultant. The role covers inpatient and day care services, with immediate patient flow and Priory-backed branding and administrative support to help you focus on patient care.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, adhere to governance and regulatory standards, manage your own private practice, and have the flexibility to set hours

Qualifications

• GMC registration with specialist registration required.
• Experience within the NHS in a substantive role (2+ years) and exposure to OCD care.
• Strong governance and regulatory framework understanding.
• DBS and regulatory checks will be funded and completed by Priory.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat inpatients in a private inpatient setting.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (therapists, nurses, healthcare assistants, dietitian).
• Engage in quality governance activities and improvement initiatives.
• Expand your private practice in line with Priory’s prestigious site.
• Network with colleagues and referral sources; market your practice with Priory support.
• Maintain Revalidation and ongoing professional development.

Priory North London Hospitalis looking to recruit a Visiting Consultant to join the team. This is a self employed sessional role, suitable for a candidate taking their first supported step into autonomous, self employed Private Practice, or an individual looking to expand their current Practice to include Priory Inpatients.

• Assess and treat a diverse mix of inpatients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, healthcare assistants and Dietician.

• Market yourself and your practice in conjunction with Priory, registering with private medical insurers and providing information for our website.

Candidate Profile:

• GMC registration with relevant specialist registration.
• Experience including at least 2 years operating within in a substantive role with the NHS and with treaing obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
• A strong understanding of Clinical Governance and regulatory frameworks.
• Successful completion of a DBS (funded by Priory) and other regulatory required checks.
