Job summary

Cheshire West and Chester Council is seeking an Access Assistant to support a Vision Rehabilitation Specialist in Ellesmere Port and across West Cheshire. You will assist with administrative tasks, travel arrangements for the employee and guide dog, and help maintain clear records and communication in daily care settings.

We value accuracy, a practical approach, and are committed to training. A full, clean driving licence and comfort with dogs are essential as you accompany the team in community

Qualifications

• Administrative experience and strong attention to detail.
• Full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Comfort with dogs and willingness to work in community settings.
• Able to travel and support in home visits.

Responsibilities

• Support a visually impaired employee in homes and in the community.
• Arrange travel and transport for the employee and guide dog.
• Update electronic records and handle documents with accuracy.
• Provide sighted guidance and assist in navigation in unfamiliar environments.
