Job summary

Luton Council is recruiting a Vision Rehabilitation Specialist to join our Adult Social Care team at Town Hall, Luton. You will carry out specialist sensory assessments, deliver rehabilitation programmes for people with visual impairments and deafblind individuals, and support adults and children to develop mobility and independent living skills.

You will work closely with service users, families, carers and partner agencies to promote independence and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Significant ROVI experience and strong understanding of social care legislation.
• Experience in Safeguarding, MCA/DoLS and rehabilitation best practice.
• Experience managing complex cases and producing high-quality assessments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out specialist sensory assessments and rehabilitation programmes.
• Support adults and children to develop mobility and independent living skills.
• Collaborate with families, carers and partner agencies to promote independence.
• Produce high-quality assessments and reports within multi-disciplinary teams.
