Duncan & Todd Opticians in Whitehall, Dundee is hiring a Customer Care Assistant for a full-time, permanent role within a busy optician branch. You will be the first contact for patients, delivering outstanding care and handling a variety of tasks across front-of-house and admin duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role is essential; optical environment experience is advantageous.
• Ability to deliver outstanding care and high-level service in a busy branch.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in handover with Optometrist and patient to capture information.
• Advise on frame and lens selections based on prescription, needs and lifestyle.
• Take accurate measurements for lens selection and conduct fittings/adjustments.
• Post-collection adjustments and repairs to ensure frames fit correctly.
• Demonstrate to patients how to insert and remove contact lenses.
• Handle patient queries via telephone, email or in person and direct queries appropriately.
• Manage branch appointment diary considering patient requests and staff availability.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and NHS guidelines and process invoices.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, deliveries and NHS paperwork.
• Maintain clean and presentable branch and perform ad hoc duties as required.
