Qualifications

• Clinical assessment - to safely assess patients and identify the appropriate care pathway.
• Communication - to build rapport, gather accurate information and provide clear advice to patients.

• Risk management - recognise when urgent intervention or escalation is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual clinical assessment, care advice and planning for patients accessing the 999 call handling service, ensuring patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
• Support the assessment and management of patients with greater complexity, uncertainty and clinical risk, while providing professional leadership, clinical supervision and support to colleagues working within the Trust’s Virtual Care model.
