South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Virtual Care Clinician (Nurse/Paramedic) to join the Integrated Care team. This role uses remote clinical assessment and decision-making to ensure patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.

Based in Crawley or Medway, the post supports NHS 111/999 pathways and develops digital care pathways within SECAmb. The role offers both full-time and part-time hours, NHS pension, generous annual leave and

Qualifications

• Undertake autonomous virtual clinical assessments for patients accessing 999, NHS 111 and other referral pathways.
• Use clinical judgement, evidence-based practice and decision-support systems to assess and manage patients with urgent and emergency healthcare needs.
• Develop person-centred care plans and deliver self-care advice, safety-netting and onward referrals.

Responsibilities

• Support access to community, primary care, mental health and urgent care services.
• Provide clinical leadership and advice to operational and clinical colleagues.
• Identify and manage risk, safeguarding concerns and patient deterioration.
• Contribute to quality improvement, audit and service development projects.
• Support the development of innovative virtual models of care and growth of SECAmb's Virtual Care service.
• Coach, mentor and support colleagues as the service evolves.
• Build expertise in digital healthcare and remote clinical assessment.
