Qualifications

• Understanding of health and safety legislation in clinical laboratories.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and laboratory quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of laboratory tests autonomously and understand the scientific basis for tests and disease processes.
• Be able to work on a shift rota, covering seven days a week.
• Communicate using information technology as appropriate.
• Direct more junior staff regarding technical and work issues.
