Job summary

Transdev is seeking a VIE Bid Network Planner (M/F) based in Manchester to build, schedule and optimise bus services across the network for offensive tenders in UK franchises. You will work with the bid, commercial, finance and operations teams to deliver a compelling tender and understand the network first-hand on the ground.

The role requires a graduate in transport or related field with experience in transport planning or bus operations, and a strong ability to handle large data sets while

Qualifications

• Graduate from university or business school with a focus on transport/operations
• Experience in transport planning or bus operations is preferred
• Proficiency with HASTUS or willingness to learn quickly
• Strong analytical and data handling skills

Responsibilities

• Build and optimise bus schedules on HASTUS for offensive tenders in UK bus franchises, including timetables, vehicle blocks, and driver duties
• Design and apply scheduling rules complying with working time regulations, collective agreements, and company policies
• Analyse run times, punctuality and performance data to identify scheduling improvements
• Run scenario modelling to test service changes and feed metrics and driver establishment figures into the financial workstream
• Contribute to tender submissions by documenting scheduling methodology clearly for the client
• Collaborate with finance, operations and commercial teams to deliver a coherent, winning bid and understand the network firsthand
