Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking an algorithm developer to craft the creative look of videos captured with Apple cameras by developing capture-side tone mapping algorithms. You will drive development from concept to on-device implementation and field testing, ensuring high-quality image output across devices.

Minimum qualifications include an MS with 10+ years in image processing, and proven Python or MATLAB coding skills. C/C++ expertise and ML exposure are highly valued.

Qualifications

• MS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
• Track record of developing image processing algorithms (e.g., tone mapping, HDR, auto exposure).
• Validated coding skills in Python or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Prototype and implement tone mapping algorithms in high level software and on-device.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to improve image quality through new blocks.
• Influence the artistic look of camera output across devices (phones, tablets, laptops).
• Define feature proposals for use cases in consumer and professional markets.
