Job summary

Apple's Camera Algorithm team is seeking extraordinary engineers to develop next-generation image capture, processing and rendering algorithms for Apple camera systems. You will research and develop novel tone mapping methods to improve image quality, while leveraging Apple silicon technologies to reduce computation.

You will drive algorithm development from concept to on-device implementation and field testing, influencing the artistic look across devices.

Qualifications

• MS degree and at least 10 years of industry experience in image processing.
• Proven experience developing tone mapping or HDR workflows.
• Strong coding skills in Python or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Prototype tone mapping algorithms in Matlab or Python.
• Implement and test approaches in Apple products to meet image quality and timing.
• Collaborate with hardware design teams on developing new image processing blocks.
• Influence artistic look of Apple cameras across products.
• Define and develop feature proposals for different use cases.
