Job summary

Lloyd's Register International Avon & Somerset Victim Service partnership is seeking a part-time Caseworker to join the VS team. The role supports adults across Avon and Somerset, with hybrid working and one day a week in Keynsham Police Station.

During vetting, initial office days will be at the Vassall Centre, Fishponds, Bristol, and once vetted the location is Keynsham with occasional days at the Vassall Centre.

Qualifications

• You will need: effective verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to use IT applications competently.
• Knowledge and practical application of Equal opportunities and diversity and inclusivity.
• Proven track record of delivering services within a statutory, voluntary or multi-agency setting.
• Ability to balance competing needs and priorities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage a caseload of self-referrals or referred victims.
• Provide individually tailored support addressing victims' needs.
• Routinely revisit impacts and outcomes within an agreed framework.
• Undertake risk and needs assessments per VS procedures.
• Follow safeguarding policies and collaborate with safeguarding leads and agencies.
• Provide information and advocacy to navigate the criminal justice process.
• Identify barriers and liaise with multi-agency partners for ongoing support.
• Work with staff and volunteers to reflect community diversity and deliver respectful services.
• Maintain accurate, confidential case records in line with data protection laws.
