Job summary

Lancashire Constabulary’s Digital Forensics Operational Support seeks a Victim Identification Officer based at Hutton Headquarters. You will support ICE Teams by identifying victims and gathering evidence for live investigations and prosecutions, using cutting-edge forensics alongside traditional methods.

You will coordinate CAID referrals, liaise with the National Crime Agency, and pursue ongoing training through a Lancashire/NCA/industry pathway to stay at the forefront of this field.

Qualifications

• Level 1 of the Public Protection Learning Programme (PPLP) completed or in progress within 12 months.
• CAID User Training to be completed within 6 months of start date.
• CAID National Adjudicators Course completed or in progress within 6 months.
• College of Policing / NCA-CEOP Victim ID course within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Identify victims of child abuse and provide evidence to support live investigations and prosecutions.
• Act as Victim Identification SPOC for Lancashire re CAID use and referrals to NCA.
• Stay updated on new technology and software to keep Lancashire at the cybercrime forefront.
