Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Remote or mobile. Tasks: Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery. Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian. Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian. May perform a variety of office management and clerical duties. Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals. Provide wound and bandage care. Clip animal nails. Clean animal ears. Bathe and shampoo animals. Area of specialization: Exotic animals. Small animals. Large animals. Emergency care. Security and safety: Bondable. Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own vehicle.
