Our leading insurance client is looking for an experienced Insurance Technician to join their expanding team, working on a fully remote basis. They offer a basic salary of £50,000-£70,000 plus bonus, with a clear career progression path within their international operations. Salary is negotiable based on experience.

As an Insurance Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting specific Operating Entities by providing technical and administrative assistance to broking teams within niche Business Units. Your responsibilities include ensuring smooth reinsurance processes, allowing brokers to focus on client relationships and strategic goals.

You will be part of a dedicated team of specialists in various lines of insurance, fostering deep expertise in your focus area. Your duties will involve preparing and managing documentation, data entry, and ensuring compliance with company and group policies, all performed accurately and timely.

• Perform technical duties such as data entry, credit control, and follow-ups on subjectivities with precision.
• Stay informed of regulatory and legal changes affecting the role, ensuring compliance.
• Maintain current and accurate records on company systems.
• Respond promptly to urgent issues, providing effective solutions.
• Interpret and implement instructions according to company policies and procedures.
• Build and nurture positive relationships within Business Units, promoting teamwork.
• Handle client, insurer, and third-party inquiries professionally and promptly.
• Manage client renewals and mid-term adjustments, delivering high-quality service.

The Person

An experienced Insurance Technician capable of contributing immediately, ideally with Reinsurance experience.

• Proven Proportional Treaty experience
• Familiarity with Xchanging systems
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to undertake technical training as required by industry regulations
• Developing technical expertise in specific business lines (growing with experience)
• Previous experience in insurance or a customer-facing role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Teamwork skills with mentoring capability
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
