Job summary

Thanet Vets in Margate, South East, is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our experienced team. The role involves consulting and operating duties shared among six vets, delivering high-quality patient and client care across a varied caseload.

You will continue to develop your clinical skills while sharing knowledge with colleagues, contributing positively to the practice's culture. Openings include 8:00 am to 7:00 pm days, with 1:4 Saturday mornings and no out-of-hours work.

Qualifications

  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility) with the RCVS.
  • Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Consulting and operating duties shared with the team to deliver high-standard patient care.
  • Develop clinical skills while sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.
  • Lead and support the clinical team to ensure excellent patient and client care.

The role will involve consulting and operating duties shared with 6 other vets. We are fortunate enough to have a fantastic and knowledgeable team.

We are surrounded by sandy beaches, with close links to ferries and the train for various destinations across Europe. We are also within reasonable distance to London for city visits. We are active within our community and as such have built a loyal client base.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care while leading and supporting those around you.

Working Pattern
  • Opening hours of 8:00 am and 7:00 pm
  • 1:4 Saturday mornings
  • No OOH
