Job summary

Bath Veterinary Group, Keynsham Surgery in Keynsham, South West, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly two‑vet team with on‑site imaging and dentistry facilities. You’ll work alongside colleagues at Rosemary Lodge Hospital, with occasional sole‑charge at Keynsham.

We offer a varied first‑opinion caseload, access to MRI/CT, and a supportive clinical culture focused on development and high standards of patient care. Tuesdays off, 1 in 3 Saturdays mornings.

Qualifications

  • Registered veterinary surgeon with the RCVS or eligible to register.
  • Experience in small animal clinical practice and surgery.
  • Strong communication skills and client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied first‑opinion caseload including consultations and surgery.
  • Refer and collaborate with Rosemary Lodge Hospital colleagues.

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our well‑established and supportive team. This well‑established branch of Bath Vet Group is a friendly two‑vet surgery with operating, imaging and dentistry facilities on site. You'll be supported by colleagues at our Rosemary Lodge Hospital, just seven miles away in Bath, where patients can be hospitalised and our out‑of‑hours care is provided by Vets Now. The successful candidate will be confident working occasional sole charge at our Keynsham branch.

  • Central referral site at Rosemary Lodge with specialist clinicians and surgeons
How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

Working Pattern

  • Tuesday is a fixed day off
  • 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, 9:00am-1:00pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied first‑opinion caseload, including routine consultations and surgery
  • Refer and collaborate on cases with colleagues at Rosemary Lodge Hospital
  • Provide occasional sole‑charge cover at the Keynsham branch
