Job summary

Abivale Vets in Wantage is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our established team. The role offers a balanced caseload across consulting and surgery with clinical autonomy to manage cases and deliver excellent patient care.

We welcome candidates with a Veterinary degree and RCVS registration, capable of working sole charge when needed, and who value collaboration within our inspiring vet care network. Up to £60,000 DOE.

We're looking for a vet to join our well-established team at our Wantage practice. This role will involve working at our other sites as required. You'll enjoy a well-balanced caseload across consulting and surgery, with the clinical freedom to manage and follow your own cases.

How You'll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you'll deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding first opinion caseload.

You'll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice and delivering excellent care for our patients and clients.

Flexibility with Hours

We understand that finding the right balance between work and life matters. A typical full-time role averages 40 hours per week, and we're also happy to consider part-time applications.

• Average of 40 hours per week for full-time colleagues


• Part-time applications welcomed


• 2 Saturdays and 1 Sunday every 7 weeks


• Bank holidays shared on a rota basis


• No out-of-hours or on-call requirement
