An opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our long-standing team at Martin and Carr Vets on a part-time basis. We can tailor the role to suit you—whether you prefer surgical cases or consultations only. If surgery is your interest, we can offer one day of surgeries per week with full case work-up; if you prefer consults, we can provide a consult-only role. We prioritize professional and personal development, supporting your success through knowledge sharing, confidence building, and clinical freedom—no career boundaries. Tell us your preferences, and we'll do our best to accommodate. We are offering a welcome bonus of up to £5000 (pro-rata) for new hires.

Flexible working that offers real flexibility

Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and work-life balance is vital. Whether you need reduced hours for hobbies, school runs, or a flexible rota, we can adapt to your needs. Ideally, we are looking for someone to work up to 20 hours per week, with a 1:4 Saturday morning requirement.

A team dedicated to continuous professional development

Our team includes 9 experienced Veterinary Surgeons and 1 2nd-year graduate, supported by Registered Veterinary Nurses, Trainee Nurses, and support staff. Our team features an RCVS-recognized Advanced Practitioner in small animal surgery, certificate holders in small animal medicine and endoscopy, a vet practicing acupuncture and animal behavior, and a vet with a PhD in nematodes. Our Head Nurse holds a CertVN ECC and certificates in analgesia and anesthesia. We provide all necessary support and development opportunities regardless of your career stage.

Our established practice

As a Tier 2 RCVS accredited surgery, we have advanced diagnostics including digital radiography, ultrasonography, and endoscopy. We offer preventative healthcare, complex medical and surgical procedures, and onsite laboratory services for same-day blood analysis. Located in Pershore near the Cotswolds, with excellent transport links to Bristol, Birmingham, and London, our location suits outdoor enthusiasts and city lovers alike.
