Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Shrewsbury

Type: Small Animal

Location: Circa 40 minute commute of Shrewsbury

Practice Type: Independent Practice - Well-established single-site practice (no branches) in a semi-rural location with a very varied caseload. The practice prides itself on high-quality service and an approachable, friendly manner.

They believe communication with clients is as important as the veterinary treatment they receive.

Facilities: Well-equipped lab, diagnostic equipment, hydrotherapy treadmill, and complementary therapies.

Team: They currently are a 2 Vet / 3 RVN practice with a fun, family feel. Support staff and RVNs support each other well.

Role: The practice seeks a fully qualified, RCVS-registered, experienced Small Animal Vet to join their team.

Duties: You will be given autonomy and clinical freedom, with opportunities to develop interests. You can work up your own caseloads and build rapport with clients.

Hours:

  • The role is full-time, 8:30 am-6:30 pm over 4 days per week; part-time negotiable.
  • NO OOHs, Sundays, or Bank holidays; Saturday rota every other weekend, 8:30 am-12 noon.
  • The practice values work-life balance.

Skills/Experience: Ideally, a fully qualified, RCVS-registered, experienced Small Animal Vet with 2+ years experience; however, new graduates and part-time applicants are also considered.

The ideal candidate will be:

Salary: Competitive, between £35,000-£65,000 per annum depending on experience.
