There is no out of hours with this role; the ideal candidate would take a share in the weekend rota which is currently 1 in 6 (9-6 Saturday, 9-12 Sunday). A full time role would involve working 40 hours per week. We're happy to support part time applications as well.

Our team is composed of 7 full time Vets, 10 strong RVN team, 3 ACAs and 4 SVNs. The clinical team is complimented by a Practice Manager as well as a dedicated reception team. Our team boasts a wide range of expertise, we have a certificate holder in imaging, as well as our Clinical Director who is a member of the faculty of Homeopathy. We have away workshop days annually and have covered topics such as wellbeing, mindfulness, and communication, plus have a wellbeing coach available to our team. Our Clinical Director is passionate about wellbeing in the workplace as well as personal and professional development. You will receive regular one to one time with him to enable adequate time to reflect on your progress and ensure that you are on the right development pathway. CPD is encouraged and our team often go en masse to conferences to combine CPD with team bonding! Certificates can be funded for the right candidate.

About us

We are situated in picturesque North West Leeds. We have excellent travel links as we’re very close to Leeds Bradford airport and within easy reach of Leeds, Harrogate and York whilst on the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales countryside. We truly have something for everyone! We can offer you the chance to immerse yourself in the peace and serenity of the Yorkshire countryside, or perhaps you’d prefer the vibrant and booming student culture within Leeds City.

We have 5 fully equipped rooms for general consults, prep room and separate theatre, separate cat and dog wards, a separate waiting area for feline patients. Our facilities offer an extensive array of medical equipment, and we aim to tailor our roles to suit your clinical interests and professional development. We have a second branch equipped with two consult rooms, recovery kennels, prep and theatre.

Here what Matthew (VS) had to say about life at Towerwood:

"I have been at Towerwood Vets for just over a year now and I really enjoy working here. The team is absolutely amazing and utilised to the best of their abilities. The nursing care is superb and there is the capacity for working up cases to a high level; I find this really rewarding. There is plenty of time for you to give your all to your patients and explain complex medicine to the clients. I am allowed to pursue my interests and encouraged to do so, with many like-minded colleagues. All this and it is the best work-life balance I have had in any job so far in my career!"
