Job Description

Introduction

Our Client is a corporately owned practice seeking an experienced Associate Veterinary Surgeon to join their team across two GP practices in Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a full-time vet to provide high-quality first opinion care, with opportunities to work with a supportive team of experienced professionals.

Working Hours / Rota

Full-time role with a 4 to 4.5-day working week.

The role includes participation in a Saturday 1:4, Sunday 1:12, and bank holiday rota, which also involves some working time at Beech House Veterinary Centre in Warrington.

Role Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of first opinion duties, including consultations, medicine work-ups, and general surgery. You will work alongside a dual-site Clinical Director, an experienced Small Animal Vet, and a newly qualified Graduate. Being a Vet GDP Advisor would be an added advantage.

Team Size

The team consists of experienced vets and nurses across the two practices, with additional support from the in-house referral hospital and OOH’s team.

Practice Details

The role is split between two well-established GP practices. The group offers a wealth of experience and resources, including access to an in-house referral hospital.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Small Animal General Practitioner, with a strong background in consultations, medicine work-ups, and routine surgery. The ability to work collaboratively and a commitment to continuing professional development are essential.
