A veterinary practice in Congleton is looking for a part-time vet to join their close-knit team. This role offers a great work/life balance, with flexible hours and a supportive environment for professional development. Salary up to £56,000 DOE (FTE) plus £1,500 Relocation Allowance
Excellent work/life balance
Scope for flexible working (e.g., school hours), no OOH, 1-in-6 weekend rota (Saturday 4.15pm finish, and Sunday short 4-hour shift only, no routines). Weekends are sole charge (alongside RVN and 2 Receptionists).
This role is part-time hours 20-30 per week.
Career Development
Supported by 2 x certificate holders (small animal cardiology and ophthalmology), experienced GP vet, and a budding new graduate. Feline and Rabbit Friendly practice (silver). Scope for consulting-only role. 2 x VetGDP Advisors and OVs within the vet team.

Friendly and close-knit team, with low staff turnover. Many staff members have been with us for >10 years! Location and Surrounding Area
Congleton (large town on the East Cheshire/Staffordshire/Derbyshire border), close to the Peak District, as well as Manchester, Birmingham, and Liverpool.
Caseload
Varied small animal and exotic (mainly rabbits and rodents), with a good mix of medical and surgical cases. Focus on preventative care incorporated into clinics (feline blood pressure, weight clinics, wellness screens). We have dental X-ray, perform dental procedures in two stages, and have digital radiography and an excellent ultrasound machine. We are investing in endoscopy equipment. Our internal lab allows same-day results for many tests. Vets Now Macclesfield provides OOH services.
