Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Shrewsbury

Type: Small Animal

Location : Circa 40 minute commute of Shrewsbury

Practice Type : Independent Practice - Well-established single-site practice (no branches) in a semi-rural location with a very varied caseload. The practice prides itself on high-quality service and its approachable, friendly manner.

They value communication with clients as much as veterinary treatment.

Facilities : Well-equipped lab, diagnostic equipment, hydrotherapy treadmill, and complementary therapies.

Team: Currently a 2 Vet / 3 RVN team with a supportive, family-like environment. Support staff and RVNs are dedicated and caring.

Role: Seeking a fully qualified, RCVS-registered, experienced Small Animal Vet to join the team.

Duties: You will have autonomy and clinical freedom, with opportunities to develop interests. You can work up your own caseload and build rapport with clients.

Hours:

• Full-time, permanent role, 8:30 am-6:30 pm over 4 days per week (part-time negotiable).
• No OOHs, Sundays, or Bank holidays; Saturday rota every other weekend, 8:30 am-12 noon.
• Emphasis on work-life balance.

Skills/Experience: Ideally, a fully qualified, RCVS-registered, experienced Small Animal Vet. 2+ years experience preferred due to weekend sole charge, but new graduates and part-time applicants are welcome.
