Job summary

Lawrence Vets in Nottinghamshire is seeking a confident veterinary surgeon to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. You’ll work with a varied small animal caseload, balancing consultations and surgery while upholding high clinical standards.

The role includes dentistry, exposure to advanced cases via a peripatetic surgeon, and 40-hour weeks with 4 or 5 days and some Saturday mornings. We offer development, mentoring, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• RCVS registration or eligibility to register.
• Experience in clinical veterinary practice with routine medical and surgical cases.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Proactive learner open to feedback and development.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied small animal caseload with consultations and surgery.
• Participate in dentistry and orthopaedic work via a peripatetic surgeon.
• Cover 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days with Saturday mornings.
