Peterborough Vets for Pets is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to cover weekend consults at our Peterborough Bretton practice. Join a supportive team with strong patient care ethos.

The role is weekends only with a 1:4 rota, no OOHs, Saturdays 9am-5pm and Sundays 10am-4pm. Competitive salary up to £60,000 depending on experience, plus generous CPD, holidays, and a range of benefits.

• Ideally 1 year or more experience in small animal practice.

Weekend Veterinary Surgeon – Consult only

We’re looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our supportive and experienced team to cover a minimum of 1:4 weekends at Peterborough Bretton Vets for Pets.

About us
At Peterborough Vets for Pets, we have a team of 7 Vets, 6 Registered Nurses, 3 Student Nurses and an incredible administrative support team.

Between our Vets we hold a Certificate in Internal Medicine, Certificate in Cardiology and one currently doing a Certificate in Ultrasonography. We also offer acupuncture and physiotherapy.

Our Nurses also have fantastic talent with certificates in consulting, emergency and critical care and a qualified physiotherapist.

What we are looking for

• A qualified Veterinary Surgeon with RCVS registration
• Ideally you have a years’ experience in small animal practice and are comfortable with routine consults.
• This role is weekends and consults only.
• The role will be to cover a minimum of 1:4 weekends at Peterborough Bretton. Saturday 9am - 5pm and Sunday 10am – 4pm.
• No OOHs and bank holidays are shared between the team over the year
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for animal welfare and high-quality patient care
• Team player attitude with the ability to work independently
