Job summary

Byre Vets in Peterborough is seeking an organised Receptionist to join our friendly team on a part-time basis. The role covers 25 hours per week with a share of alternating Saturday mornings, office duties, client communication and day-to-day practice support.

You’ll be the first point of contact for clients, delivering a welcoming and professional experience while assisting with bookings, enquiries and payments. This role is on-site at Sampson Park Vets, Peterborough.

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Sampson Park on a part-time permanent basis.

The historic town of Stamford, home to the renowned Burghley Horse Trials, is less than 30 minutes away, offering the perfect balance between practicality and leisure.

Our purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility is equipped with advanced technology including endoscopy and laparoscopy. We provide a broad range of services, including exotics, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, as well as ophthalmology referrals, creating a dynamic and rewarding environment for our team.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

We are looking to cover 25 hours per week, in 1 part time position. The role would also include a share of 1 in 4 Saturday mornings 8.30-12.00. No OOH. Flexibility for holiday and sick cover will also be required.
