Job summary

Peterborough Vets for Pets is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to cover weekend consults at our Peterborough Bretton practice. Join a supportive team with strong patient care ethos.

The role is weekends only with a 1:4 rota, no OOHs, Saturdays 9am-5pm and Sundays 10am-4pm. Competitive salary up to £60,000 depending on experience, plus generous CPD, holidays, and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• RCVS registration as a Veterinary Surgeon.
• Ideally 1 year or more experience in small animal practice.
• Weekend and consults-only role with fixed schedule.
• No OOHs; bank holidays shared within the team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day small animal consults during weekends.
• Deliver high-quality patient care with compassionate client communication.
