Job Description

Introduction

Our client is a corporately owned, RCVS-accredited small animal practice based in a picturesque coastal town in Cornwall. They are looking for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their welcoming and well-established team.

Working Hours / Rota

Permanent role with flexible full-time or part-time hours available

No out-of-hours required

Fully flexible rota tailored around the successful candidate’s needs

Role Description

This role offers a healthy balance of consultations and surgery, with some sole charge required. The caseload is varied and interesting, and the day is structured for sustainability, with 15-minute consults and 30-minute appointments for more complex cases. The working environment is calm, collaborative, and focused on delivering high-quality care without the pressure of rushed appointments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a vet who enjoys clinical autonomy while still being part of a supportive and friendly team. The practice promotes a positive work culture and encourages ongoing development, with access to further training and certificate study if desired.

Team Size

The practice is led by a dedicated and experienced vet with a certificate in emergency medicine, supported by a high nurse-to-vet ratio, student nurses, a VCA, and a strong management and client care team. The team works closely together, utilising Schedule 3 to its full potential and fostering an inclusive, team-first culture.

The practice is an RCVS-accredited small animal clinic, with additional ISFM Silver Cat Friendly and RAW Silver Rabbit Friendly status.
