Job Description

Introduction

Our Client’s practice in Leominster, Herefordshire, is seeking a surgically inclined Veterinary Surgeon to join their large, experienced team. Located in a scenic semi-rural town, this practice provides a fantastic setting for a vet looking to expand their surgical skills in a well-resourced and supportive environment. There is also the opportunity to collaborate across practices, including occasional work at the Ludlow branch.

Working Hours / Rota

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, with only 1 in 6 Saturdays. There are no on-call or bank holiday requirements, offering excellent work-life balance and predictability.

Role Description

You will be responsible for delivering outstanding clinical care across consultations and surgeries while contributing to patient treatment planning and client communication. As part of a large and supportive team, you will have the opportunity to mentor others and develop your clinical leadership skills. The role offers a strong foundation for continued professional growth, backed by mentorship, funded CPD, and certificate support.

Team Size

The practice is staffed by a robust team, including several experienced Veterinary Surgeons, 9 qualified nurses, and 8 reception/admin staff. This supportive and well-structured team environment encourages collaboration and continuous learning.
