Job Description

Introduction

Our Client is a corporately owned practice looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their progressive and community-focused team in Dudley, West Midlands. With a strong emphasis on development and work-life balance, this is an excellent opportunity for a vet seeking flexibility and a supportive environment.

Working Hours / Rota

The practice offers complete flexibility with working patterns and is happy to consider part-time or full-time roles (20–40 hours per week). The rota can accommodate school hours, shorter or longer days, and other personal needs. The weekend requirement is just 1 in 3 Saturdays with no Sundays. There are no OOH duties, with a dedicated external provider handling emergencies.

Role Description

This role involves a well-managed balance of consulting and surgical duties. Standard consults are 15 minutes, with longer slots available when needed. The diary is structured to include adequate breaks, admin time, and collaborative case discussions. The practice seeks personable, experienced GPs who can bring innovative thinking and clinical strength to the team.

Team Size

The team includes 3 vets, 4 RVNs, 2 SVNs, a practice manager, and 4 receptionists. It’s a small but highly supportive team with a diverse range of skills and experience. The culture is welcoming, collaborative, and focused on delivering outstanding pet care.

Practice Details

This Purpose-built, Standalone Clinic Features An Operating Theatre, 3 Consult Rooms, a Large Prep Area, X-ray Room, Isolation Block, And Separate Cat And Dog Kennels. The Practice Holds Several Prestigious Accreditations, Including

• RAW Silver Rabbit Friendly award
• Compassion Understood Bronze award
