Job summary

City Vets, part of Linnaeus, is seeking an enthusiastic receptionist to join a friendly, forward-thinking team. You will enhance customer service skills and support clients and their pets with a caring, confident approach.

The role is permanent part-time, 27–32 hours per week, including Thursday, Friday and Saturday. You will work across multiple sites, liaising with the Client Care Manager to deliver outstanding client experiences and maintain high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Reliable, caring and mature approach to client interactions.
• Willingness to work across multiple sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Manage daily diary and appointment schedules.
• Maintain accurate client records in line with data protection.
• Perform day-to-day administrative tasks with accuracy.
• Communicate with clients, colleagues and the wider business in person, by email and by phone.
• Keep reception areas clean, organized and hygienic.
• Process payments and handle repeat medication requests.

Job Title: Receptionist

Location: City Vets, mainly based at our St Thomas branch but working across all four sites will be required on occasion.

City Vets, part of Linnaeus, are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate receptionist to join our friendly and forward-thinking team. In this role you will have the opportunity to enhance your customer service skills. The role requires a caring, confident and mature approach to all aspects of veterinary practice and client care.

This role is vital to maintaining the high standards expected throughout our exceptional team. You will work closely with the Client Care Manager to deliver an outstanding experience for clients and visitors. An essential aspect of this role is to maintain a positive and friendly attitude.

This position is a permanent part-time role working 27-32 hours per week, to include Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week.

The role is varied and will include (but is not limited to) the following:

• Greeting clients, and their pets, with a friendly and helpful manner
• Diary management
• Maintaining accurate client records in line with data protection regulations
• Day to day administrative duties.
• Communicating with clients, colleagues, and the wider business face-to-face, through email and telephone
• Maintaining the organisation and hygiene standards of the reception areas
• Processing payments in various forms
• Processing repeat medication requests.

Salary Value: £18.241 per annum;
