Job summary

Rowe Vet Group is seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis at the Bradley Stoke hospital and branches in Thornbury, Yate, Winterbourne, Brimsham and Wotton-under-Edge.

As the first point of contact for pets and their owners, you will greet clients, manage appointments, handle enquiries and support client communications while working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role with a focus on service and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a welcoming manner.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets in a professional and courteous manner.
• Book, cancel and adjust appointments as needed.
• Handle queries by phone, email and in person promptly and professionally.
• Promote preventive healthcare products and Pet Healthcare Plans and pet insurance.
• Assist with dispensing medications/prescriptions and processing payments.

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Rowe Vet Group on a Part-Time basis.

Rowe Vet Group have a 24-hour hospital in Bradley Stoke and branches in Thornbury, Yate, Winterbourne, Brimsham and Wotton-under-Edge. As a valued member of the reception team, you will be the first point of contact for pets and their owners.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

General responsibilities include:

• Greeting our clients and their pets in a professional and courteous manner
• Booking, cancelling and changing appointments
• Dealing with queries by phone, email and face to face promptly and professionally
• Advising clients on our preventative healthcare products and promoting Pet Healthcare Plans and pet insurance
• Dispensing medications/prescriptions
• Taking payments, cashing up and all other general admin and reception duties

Working Pattern

Monday 1-7.30pm, Tuesday/Thursday & Friday 8-2.30pm with a share in the Bank Holiday rota based at main hospital in Bradley Stoke.
