Job summary

inspiring vet care in the UK is seeking a friendly Receptionist for Oaks Vets in Largs to cover maternity leave for 12 months. You’ll be the first point of contact, welcoming clients and ensuring a smooth, caring experience while supporting the clinical team.

This part-time 40-hour role includes Saturdays every fourth weekend, managing appointments, enquiries, records, and payments. You’ll work with a dedicated team across Ayrshire practices to deliver outstanding client service.

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Oaks Vets on a part-timebasis covering maternity leave for 12 months.

Our greatest asset is our team. Our experienced team of veterinary surgeons is supported by a dedicated team of nurses and support staff. We all pride ourselves on providing the highest level of patient care and customer service. We have a reception team of 11 working over 3 practices in Ayrshire, Saltcoats, Largs and Dundonald.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

We are looking for someone to work 40 hours over 5 days. It will include 1 Saturday mornings in 4 in our Largs practice.
