Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking a personable Receptionist to join Lynton House Vets on a part-time permanent basis. You will welcome clients and support a smooth client and patient journey within a supportive team.

You will manage appointments, handle enquiries and payments, and assist with general administrative tasks while liaising closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Experience in customer-facing roles preferred.
  • Organised, friendly and proactive with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle payments and basic administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage appointment bookings and client enquiries.
  • Handle payments and process end-of-day banking.
  • Support with general admin and liaise with clinical and non-clinical teams.
  • Dispense medication and assist with administrative tasks as required.

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Lynton House Vets on a part-time permanent basis.

Join an exceptional team at Lynton Vets. Our 6 Veterinary Surgeons are supported by a great team of 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 4 ANAs and experienced Receptionists across the Group. We have a family-like culture in practice and have embedded a truly supportive and encouraging ethos amongst the team. Each practice has an essential SOS chocolate station, and we are never short of cake with some excellent bakers across the group! Mental and physical wellbeing of the team is paramount to us.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

You will be working 30 hours per week with shifts ranging from 07:30am-19:30pm with saturdays on a rota.

Key Responsibilities

You will manage appointment bookings, handle queries and take payments, while also dispensing medication and assisting with general administrative tasks. Additionally, you will handle account queries, chase outstanding debt, manage payments, complete end-of-day banking and monitor petty cash records. You will also support the team with any other administrative tasks as required by the Head Receptionist, Practice Manager or Clinical Director.
