Job summary

CVS Vets' Newnham Court Veterinary Hospital in Maidstone is seeking a Veterinary Patient Care Assistant to join our team and help put pets first.

You will support our RVNs and Vets with nursing care, animal restraint, walking, feeding and cleaning, and you may assist with emergency facilities and lab work. A varied shift pattern across 35 hours per week is offered in a permanent role.

Qualifications

• Must have animal care and handling experience.
• Experience in a veterinary environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing nursing care to patients
• Assisting Vets and Nurses with animal restraint
• Walking, feeding, and cleaning patients
• Preparing emergency and operating facilities
• Performing general cleaning and maintenance
• Running internal lab samples
• Answering emergency calls
• Supporting the reception team when needed, including booking appointments and processing payments
