Job summary

CVS Veterinary Group in Maidenhead is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Patient Care Assistant to join Summerleaze Veterinary Hospital. You will support RVNs and vets with nursing care, animal handling and day-to-day tasks to ensure high-quality patient care.

The role involves patient feeding, cleaning, assisting during procedures, answering calls, and maintaining a clean, well-organized hospital. 40-hour week, Monday to Friday with flexible shifts between early and late, and a focus on

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with empathy

• Experience in animal welfare including feeding, cleaning, medicating and handling animals

• Experience in a veterinary environment is desirable

Responsibilities

• Nursing care to patients
• Assisting Vets and Nurses in restraining animals for treatment
• Cleaning, walking, and feeding of patients
• Preparation of emergency and operating facilities
• General cleaning and maintenance duties
• Running internal lab samples
• Answering emergency calls
• Covering the receptionist desk and handling queries, appointments and payments
