Job summary

PDSA Huyton in Liverpool is seeking a Veterinary Nurse Team Leader to join our friendly team. You will supervise a group of Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants, delivering high-quality, compassionate care across theatre, inpatient care and consults.

You will support the Head Nurse, coach colleagues, provide constructive feedback, and help embed Pet Wellbeing services. This role offers a chance to lead in a fast-paced, community-focused veterinary charity.

As a Team Leader, you’ll support the Head Nurse and lead part of our nursing team to deliver high‑quality, compassionate care. You’ll oversee a team of Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants working across theatre, inpatient care, and consults, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day workflow and consistently high standards.

You’ll be a supportive, approachable leader—someone who enjoys coaching others, giving clear feedback, and setting the tone for clinical excellence. You’ll also help embed our Pet Wellbeing services, championing prevention, education, and proactive healthcare. And when needed, you’ll confidently step in to deputise for the Head Nurse.
