Vets Now is the UK’s leading provider of emergency pet care, serving over 1700 veterinary practices through 60 plus dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals.

Great Western Exotics is the leading avian and exotics animal specific veterinary service in the UK. We provide emergency service for pets and vets, 1st opinion clients, and referral support for critical and complex cases.

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care.Key responsibilities will include:

  • First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
  • Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
  • Diagnostics - confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

Key requirements

  • RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
  • Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
  • Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
  • Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.

Working pattern

The rota will be 7 on, 7 off working either

  • 7pm-8am
  • 6pm-8am

Plus, a fair share of bank holidays.
