Job summary

Axiom Veterinary Laboratory, part of the CVS Group, is hiring a Laboratory Administrator on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. The role involves processing veterinary sample submissions, data entry, and coordinating with laboratory departments to ensure timely test distribution and results delivery.

The position offers full-time hours (40 per week) on alternating two-week shifts with training provided; benefits include generous annual leave and access to CVS Group schemes.

Qualifications

• No prior laboratory experience required; full training will be provided.
• Excellent data entry accuracy and speed.
• Calm under pressure with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Open, check and record details of new submissions against forms.
• Transfer information from forms to the LIMS accurately.
• Number and rack samples for onward movement to departments.
• Receive deliveries and distribute stock to recipients.
• Coordinate shipment of laboratory consignments to clients and partner labs.
• Support Quality system with data checks and customer feedback.
• Process results from referral labs and manage emails.
• Answer calls politely and transfer to colleagues as needed.
