Job summary

CVS Veterinary Group is seeking a Dispensary Operative to ensure accurate receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispensing of veterinary medicines. You will maintain stock accuracy, support inventory control, and comply with RCVS and VMD regulations to support high standards of patient care.

The role emphasizes a safe, organized, and hygienic working environment with attention to detail and operational efficiency. Full-time hours and weekend availability are listed.

Qualifications

• Demonstratable Dispensary experience (preferred but not essential).
• Good literacy and numeracy, computer literate.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Picking and packing customer dispensary orders.
• Dispatching orders.
• Stock checking and counting.
• Receiving stock and locating to storage.
• Maintaining paperwork up to date.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Awareness of new medications and changes by the VMD.
• Preparing pallets for dispatch.
• Cleaning as you go.
