The position offers opportunities for learning and growth within a supportive environment alongside excellent benefits such as annual leave and enhanced family policies.
We are looking for a Veterinary Care Assistant / Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team here at Woodland Vet Centre / Midhurst Vets.
We are ideally seeking a full-time team member with previous veterinary experience. However, in-house training can be provided for the right candidate.
Located in the beautiful South Downs, just a short distance from the coast and London, we offer the best of both worlds. Our proximity to Heathrow and Gatwick airports provides excellent transport links to Europe and beyond. Woodland Vet Centre has recently refurbished kennels with separate dog and cat wards for improved patient welfare. Our sister practice, Midhurst Vets, features a large preparation and kennel area for constant supervision of patients.
Our facilities include digital x-ray with a floating table, dental x-ray, multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring machine, blood pressure sphygmomanometer, microscope, in-house biochemistry and haematology blood machines, ultrasound with cardiac and abdominal probes, laser, ECG, endoscope, and tonometer.
Our team is one of our unique strengths. If you are looking to join a warm, friendly, and collaborative environment, we would love to hear from you. Our team comprises Vets, Nurses, Veterinary Care Assistants, and Receptionists working together to provide excellent care. We foster a nurturing culture with a strong focus on learning and development, with several certificate holders sharing their expertise and case discussions.
We encourage our team to pursue their passions. We also support our involvement with the local Cats Protection Adoption Centre, offering plenty of opportunities for kitten cuddles.
We welcome applicants with any level of veterinary, animal, or front-of-house experience. Essential qualities include kindness, consideration, high energy, a positive attitude, initiative, and effective use of time and resources. Good interpersonal skills and a passion for creating a welcoming environment are important. We value those who go the extra mile to provide the best care for our patients.
You will work 40 hours per week, typically a mix of 9 am-6 pm and 8 am-5 pm shifts. Hours are flexible and can be adjusted to accommodate your needs, with details discussed during the interview.
