Job summary

Rowe Vets in Yate is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant to join our dedicated team on a part-time permanent basis. You will support the clinical team, assist with patient handling, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for pets and their owners.

Working alongside vets, nurses and a friendly front-of-house team, you’ll develop your skills in a community practice that values care, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• You are caring and motivated to work as part of a team.
• You have good communication skills and can work with clients and colleagues.
• You stay organised and handle tasks in a busy environment.
• You show a proactive attitude to learning and development.
• Experience with animals in clinical or non-clinical settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care.
• Assist with inpatient care, patient handling and restraint, and maintain clinical areas.
• Contribute to a positive, compassionate experience for patients and clients.
• Work under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse.
